Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how BrosLearn (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with BrosLearn (the “Service”). Because BrosLearn is designed for learners ages 5–20, we take children’s privacy seriously and have built the Service around parental control and data minimization.

1. The short version

  • A parent or guardian creates the account and consents to their child’s use.
  • We collect only what we need to run adaptive tutoring — account details, child profile basics, and learning activity.
  • We do not sell personal information, and we do not show children behavioral or targeted advertising.
  • Parents can review, correct, or delete their child’s information at any time.

2. Information we collect

Account information (from the parent/guardian). When you sign up, our authentication provider collects your name, email address, and login credentials (for example, via Google sign-in).

Child profile information. To personalize learning, the account holder provides limited details for each child profile, such as a first name or display name, age or grade level, and an avatar selection.

Learning activity. As a child uses the Service, we collect their progress and interactions — lessons and quizzes attempted, answers given, skill mastery estimates, streaks and achievements, and messages exchanged with the AI tutor.

Technical and usage data. We collect standard device and usage information (such as browser type, general device information, and interaction logs) to operate and secure the Service. Where we use a device signal to prevent abuse of free features, it is coarse and hashed rather than stored as a raw identifier.

Payment information. If you purchase a subscription, our payment processor collects and processes your payment details. We do not store full card numbers.

3. How we use information

  • To provide, personalize, and adapt tutoring to each learner’s level and progress;
  • To generate lessons, explanations, quizzes, and interactive tutor responses;
  • To maintain safety features appropriate for children, including content filtering;
  • To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service;
  • To communicate with the account holder about the account and support requests;
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We do not use children’s personal information to build advertising profiles or to serve targeted ads.

4. Children's privacy (COPPA and similar laws)

BrosLearn is intended to be used by children only under a parent- or guardian-managed account. Consistent with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and comparable laws:

  • We obtain parental consent through the account holder before a child profile is used;
  • We limit collection to information reasonably necessary for the educational Service;
  • We do not condition a child’s participation on disclosing more information than is reasonably necessary;
  • Parents may review the personal information collected from their child, ask us to correct or delete it, and refuse further collection by discontinuing use.

To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We may need to verify that you are the account holder before acting on a request.

5. AI processing

To generate tutoring content and responses, we send relevant inputs — such as lesson context and the messages a learner sends to the tutor — to trusted AI providers that process them on our behalf. We instruct these providers to use the data only to deliver the requested output and not to train their general models on it, subject to their applicable terms. We design prompts to avoid sending unnecessary personal information.

6. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only as described here:

  • Service providers (subprocessors). We use vetted providers for authentication, cloud hosting and databases, media storage, background processing, AI generation, and payments. They may process information only to provide services to us.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the Service.
  • Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred, subject to this Policy.

8. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as the account is active or as needed to provide the Service, then delete or de-identify it within a reasonable period, unless a longer retention period is required by law. When an account or child profile is deleted, we remove the associated personal information from active systems and from backups on our regular deletion cycle.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect information and to respond promptly to incidents.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you or your child;
  • Correct inaccurate information;
  • Delete personal information;
  • Request a copy of certain information in a portable format;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.

The account holder can manage much of this directly in the app, or contact us at [email protected]. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

11. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to sign you in, keep your session secure, and remember basic preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies to profile children. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling required cookies may affect core functionality.

12. International data transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for cross-border transfers.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify the account holder. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

14. Contact us

If you have questions about this Policy or our handling of information, contact us at [email protected], or by mail at BrosLearn, Buford, GA 30518, USA.
